Underfloor Heating
First, I can't think of anything better than getting up on a cold winter morning to a nice warm bathroom. I might look forward to getting up! When renovating a bathroom this will need to be a very early decision made and the bathroom will look worse before looking better. Still, if you trust the process you'll have lovely heated floors and this will increase the value of your home tremendously.
Soft spa-like lighting
For the relaxing feel of the spa, we can't have harsh fluorescent lighting or excellent sterile-looking LED lighting. Go for something that's warm and soft. like wall sconces with a shade or chandeliers that diffuse the light.
Hang Decorative Mirrors
Small details make a room come together and highlight good interior design. So, having a detail like decorative mirrors instead of builder grade can really bring this detail to the forefront and also enhance features of your bathroom that are more inherently spa-like, stone or tile for example for example.
Natural Stone
which brings us to natural stone. I enjoy the impact that having the natural material like marble on the flooring and walls. You don't have to stay safe with the classic white and gray, but maybe add a pop of color like green or blue to this application.
Matching Hardware
Lastly is another small detail that can make all the difference in a bathroom remodel and that is having matching hardware throughout the entire bathroom. If you choose a brass finish for your shower head make sure the faucet to sink and bathtub match. Don't forget that all the millwork in the bathroom like your vanity will also need to have brass knobs or pulls. This detail will give the bathroom a seamless and upscale look, which will in turn increase the value of your home.
